Your Challenge:

As a Financial Administrator you will be a vital part of the Finance Team and responsible for processing payroll, providing timesheet administration and support, delivering employee timesheet training, and retrieving time and data from third party platforms, and preparing customer billings.

The Financial Administrator will strive to achieve continuous process improvements, collaborate with team members and respond to relevant requests effectively, efficiently and in a timely and professional manner.

Your Day to Day:

Payroll

  • Process bi-weekly payroll through ADP
  • Monthly GL account reconciliations related to payroll
  • Employee Expense Claim Reviews and processing for payroll
  • Sage data entry of Payroll and Expense Claims and Consultant invoices
  • Monthly Remittances for WSIB

Timesheet Administration:

  • Train new personnel on the use of the timesheet system;
  • Provide support to both onsite and remote users;
  • Follow up as required on necessary time corrections and/or clarifications;
  • Access and collect time information from third party timesheet platforms, including some data entry and reconciliation; and
  • Follow up with personnel and timesheet users as required.

Accounts Receivable

  • Prepare and review all Tiree billings using the company’s timesheet and billing platform;
  • Follow-up with account executives and customers as necessary to ensure accurate billing information is used; and
  • Post all monthly billing expediently and in a timely manner.

Accounts Payable

  • Process all vendor invoices;
  • Process all necessary payments for outstanding vendor invoices; and
  • Contact vendors as necessary for follow-up.

Month End

  • Assist Finance Manager and finance team members with month-end working paper preparation;
  • Reconcile intercompany accounts; and
  • Analyze and reconcile of Balance Sheet accounts.

The Experience You Bring:

  • Experience working in finance and accounting;
  • Accounting Certificate/Diploma required (or equivalency will be considered);
  • Proficiency with MS Excel and knowledge of Sage and/or QuickBooks;
  • Ability to work within tight monthly timelines and deliverables;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively;
  • Ability to communicate professionally; and
  • Eligibility to obtain security clearance.
